Singer Cee-Lo Green has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Los Angeles, something the singer and “The Voice” judge denies.
Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department who are following several leads they have received.
Investigators reportedly visited a restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles. Employees and the manager were interviewed by police officers.
Cee-Lo Green denies any wrongdoing and that he hasn’t even gone to the restaurant in several months. The singer said, “Nothing ever happened there or anywhere else.”
There have been no charges filed yet against the singer and the case hasn’t been assigned yet to prosecutors.
This actually isn’t the first time Cee-Lo has been involved in a physical altercation with a woman. Green was arrested in July 2001 for threatening his then-wife Christina Johnson.
The couple got into an argument in 2001, ending in Christina calling the police after Cee-Lo brandished a wooden statue and then smashed the windows of their Jaguar before leaving the residence.
The “Forget You” singer was arrested on misdemeanor charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct.
Green failed to show up to his September court date and was arrested again. He spent two days int eh slammer before pleading “no contest” to the disorderly conduct charge and being placed on probation for one year.
