Audra McDonald has married Broadway star Will Swenson.
The “Private Practice” actress exchanged vows with Will Swenson at their home in Croton-on-Hudson, New York on Saturday night.
The couple became engaged while on vacation in Puerto Rico on New Year’s Day after dating for nearly five years. They met in 2007.
The 42-year-old actress and the 38-year-old theater veteran were both married previously.
Audra was previously married to bassist Peter Donovan and they divorced in 2009 after nine years of marriage. They have an 11-year-old daughter named Zoe.
Will has two sons, ages eight and 11, with his ex-wife Amy Westerby.
Audra and Will say they are looking forward to enjoying life with their “wee posse of three”.
Audra, who is most known for her role as Dr. Naomi Bennett on the television drama “Private Practice”, left the show last year to star in the Broadway musical “Porgy and Bess”.
McDonald’s decision definitely paid off because she won her fifth Tony Award for the role.
Will, who was last seen in Broadway’s Priscilla Queen of the Desert, is preparing for his role next month in Manhattan Theater Club’s new rock musical, entitled “Murder Ballad”.
