Drew Barrymore gave birth to a daughter in Los Angeles last week!
The “Charlie’s Angels” actress and husband Will Kopelman welcomed a baby girl, Olive Barrymore Kopelman last Wednesday, their rep confirmed.
Drew and Will released a statement on their exciting baby news, saying their newborn daughter is “healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family.”
The private couple also added, “Thank you for respecting our privacy during this most special time in our lives.”
Barrymore has not spoken about the name choice for her baby girl but the actress did voice the character of Olive in a Christmas special in 1999, entitled “Olive, the Other Reindeer”.
Drew and her husband Will Kopelman began dating in 2010 and married on June 2 at her Montecito, California home, followed by a honeymoon in Big Sur.
Drew Barrymore appeared on the “Tonight Show” in February, telling host Jay Leno she couldn’t wait to have a family.
Drew said, “We’ll start with one. See how it goes and if we could be so blessed . . . that would be wonderful.”
Baby Olive is the first child for Barrymore and her husband, art consultant Will Kopelman. Rumors of the pregnancy were never actually formally confirmed by the private actress until she released her wedding photo showing a large baby bump.
Congrats to Drew on her baby girl!
