Michael Madsen got himself into trouble with the law today when he was arrested for driving under the influence.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore confirmed that someone saw the actor driving erratically on PCH just before 3 P.M. today and called the police.
The sheriff’s deputies arrived to see Madsen weaving through traffic in his red Pontiac GTO with flames down the side. They pulled him over and immediately smelled alcohol.
Michael Madsen was arrested on suspicion of DUI after failed the field sobriety test.
Madsen submitted to a breathalyzer and blew .20, way over the legal limit of .08.
The “Kill Bill” star was booked for a misdemeanor DUI, with his bail set at $15,000.
But, this isn’t Madsen’s first run-in with authorities this year.
Madsen made headlines in March when he put the beat-down on his stoner son.
Deputies were called to a Malibu residence over a family disturbance. Madsen appeared to be drunk and got into a physical altercation with his teenage son.
Madsen’s attorney explained that the actor “found his son smoking pot and they got in an argument when he tried to take it away. It’s a family matter and Michael asks that his family’s privacy be respected.”
