Lindsay Lohan’s mother shrugged off allegations she was drunk during her interview with Dr Phil last week, accusing producers of editing clips for better ratings.
But Dina Lohan certainly didn’t redeem herself when her 30-minute interview aired today.
Dina made statements that made no sense at all, slurring her words, fidgeting, and asking if the cameras were rolling.
She refused to answer Dr. Phil’s questions about her daughter Lindsay’s problems and flipped off the cameras when the host said some consider her the “world’s worst mom”.
Lohan seemed unable to answer simple questions in her bizarre interview, and seemed more worried about if the crew was filming or not.
McGraw stated, “You spent more time talking about cameras, are we rolling… that’s my business. We’re not here about my business, we’re here about your life… Can I ask you some questions, and you answer them, not in television speak but just answer them honestly?”
Dr. Phil was visibly pissed and said of Dina, “What you have done is distinguished yourself in the negative, you have come on here and been phony and inauthentic.”
Dina told Dr. Phil that his was the hardest interview she’d ever had, prompting her to hold up her fist asking him to “pound that”.
Lohan would suddenly be overcome with tears and then quickly start laughing again.
At one point, Dina said to Dr. Phil, “Look at you, you’re in your little tie and your little shoes….’
McGraw shot back asking, “I’m in my little tie and my little shoes… what the hell does that mean?”
McGraw talked about Lindsay’s well-publicized battle with drinking and drugs, but Dina blamed her daughter’s lifestyle in Los Angeles.
Lindsay’s mother said, “If she was living in New York five of them [criminal charges] would be obsolete.”
Dina’s ex-husband, Lindsay’s father Michael Lohan, also appears via satellite, accusing Dina of “taking money and commissions from Lindsay by lying to her”.
Michael also suggested Dina had been drinking before her interview.
Dina denied Michael’s accusations, stating, “I don’t care what it looks like. I’m fine and I don’t care what anyone says. All people saw was two minutes edited of an hour long interview. Of course they cut it to make it interesting.”
After the episode aired, Dina Lohan tweeted, “He was mean,” and an hour later added, “I love Penny Marshal”.
