The 26-year-old actor continued his Cosmopolis promotional tour in New York City on Wednesday morning with a live television interview on “Good Morning America”.
The show’s host, George Stephanopoulos, gave Pattinson a box of his favorite cereal Cinnamon Toast Crunch and then asked the star about the “elephant in the room”.
“Everybody just wants to know: how are you doing? What do you want your fans to know about what’s going on in your personal life?” Stephanopoulos asked Pattinson.
Pattinson appeared uncomfortable as he jokingly avoided answering the question, stating, “[My fans] seem pretty excited about . . .kind of whatever. Um, I’d like my fans to know that Cinnamon Toast Crunch is just 130 calories [a serving!]. Pretty much everything that comes out of my mouth is irrelevant.”
Stephanopoulos then asked the Twilight star how he handles the personal questions in his interviews and he replied, “You go into it to do movies. I’m never been interested in trying to sell my personal life. The reason why you go onto TV is to promote movies.”
Robert was asked if he ever “gets used to” the pandemonium and the actor stated, “If you start getting used to it, then you become crazy. But, uh, it’s nice. It’s like being on the craziest theme park ride,” he said. “Totally exciting, but eventually, at some point, you’ve got to have a break.”
“You seem to be doing okay,” Stephanopoulos surmised, with Pattinson quietly answering, “Yeah, yeah”.
