Justin Bieber has signed on to “X Factor” to work as a mentor for judge L.A. Reid.

Justin is teaming up with L.A. Reid’s team to dole out advice to contestants after the top 16 acts are chosen.

The “Boyfriend” singer was spotted filming in the Hollywood Hills for “X Factor” on Monday.

Bieber tweeted, “long day but great day. @LA_Reid @ScooterBraun just like old times! Thanks

Each judge is given a group of four contestants to oversee, and celebrity mentors will be joining them during the judge’s house round to try and give the aspiring stars advice.

Nick Jonas will reportedly be joining Demi Lovato as a mentor, but no official announcement has been made from Fox.

There has been no word on who Britney Spears and Simon Cowell will have as their celebrity mentors.

Reid actually signed Justin Bieber to Island Def Jam while he was still chairman of Island Def Jam Music Group.

Reid left Island Def Jam in March 2011 after seven years with the company to join television show “X Factor”, going on to become the CEO of Epic Records in July 2011.

Bieber appeared on the first season’s finale show as a guest performer.

Another position on the show still available is for the host. A few names being tossed around include Mario Lopez, George Clooney’s girlfriend Stacy Keibler, Kelly Osbourne, and reality star Khloe Kardashian.

Khloe is being “seriously considered” for the hosting gig.

Kardashian stated, “I’m a big fan of The X Factor. I’ve always wanted to do hosting or talk show hosting, so it’s definitely something that I would love to do and would be honored to do.”
