While We’re Up rocker Zachary Booher has been killed in a car accident.
The singer, who was one-half of the Arizona punk band, died on Sunday at the age of 22 in Wisconsin.
Zach, his bandmate Steven Rouk and another friend were driving from Chicago to Minnesota when they lost control of their vehicle after a tire blew out. Booher was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Rouk was also injured in the wreck but is recovering in the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. The friend traveling with them also survived the crash.
A post on the band’s Facebook.com page reads, “No one can speak in words the tragedy of losing Zach. He was not only an amazing musician in While We’re Up, but he was also an irreplaceable friend to countless numbers of people.”
The band was on the Vans Warped Tour, which also features the bands Taking Back Sunday and New Found Glory.
