NBA star Jason Kidd, 39, was arrested for drunk driving this morning in New York by Southampton Police after he crashed his 2010 Cadillac Escalade into a pole at around 2 a.m in Water Mill.
Police found the drunken NBA star after receiving a call of a truck crashed in the woods in the small town of Water Mill.
Kidd was so drunk shortly before his arrest that he had to be helped out of the club SL East. In fact, eyewitnesses claim Kidd was so wasted that he even tried to hang from a light at the club and broke it.
The point guard for the Knicks was transported to the hospital to treat minor injuries and taken to jail once released.
Kidd was arraigned on misdemeanor DWI charge in Southampton Town Justice Court and later released on his own recognizance.
The basketball star just signed a three-year, $9.5 million deal with the Knicks on July 5.
Earlier last night, Kidd and his wife Porschla Coleman attended the Foster a Legacy benefit in the Hamptons.
