The “Moneyball” actor spent a year designing the perfect engagement ring for Angelina, gathering together their children – Maddox, 10, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, five, and three-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox – to present the ring.
An insider said that, “Angelina cried and smiled.”
The 10 carat ring was designed by Brad and jeweler Robert Procop and the tablet-shaped diamond ring is reportedly worth half a million.
Brad and Angelina’s children were thrilled with the proposal. A source reveals, “Everyone hugged once she put the ring on. She went around and showed it to each of the kids. Angie considers herself bonded to Brad for life.”
Brad, 48, has previously revealed the children were putting on the pressure to have their mom and dad married. He said, “The kids ask about marriage. It’s meaning more and more to them. So it’s something we’ve got to look at.”
A few sources report that Brad proposed over Christmas but that they kept it quiet so the news wouldn’t overshadow her promoting her directorial debut film “In the Land of Blood and Honey”.
A source stated, “She was very busy with the movie and her Oscar campaign. She also worried that the engagement would take over press on her film and detract from that.”
The could have yet to reveal a set wedding date, but are currently on vacation with their family to celebrate on the Galapagos Islands.
