Rosie O’Donnell’s talk show is being scrapped after being on the air only five months.
Rosie’s show started in October and had around 500,000 viewers, but dropped down to 204,000 last month.
O’Donnell stated, “I wish the show was able to attract more viewers but it did not so I am headed back to my home in New York with gratitude – on we go.”
Winfrey explained that “a new network launch is always a challenge and ratings grow over time as you continue to gather an audience”.
Adding, “I’m grateful to Rosie and the dedicated Rosie Show team for giving it their all.”
Rosie previously had a talk show that landed several Emmy awards that aired from 1996 to 2002.
The final episode of “The Rosie Show” will air on March 30.
