Country star Joe Nichols and his wife Heather are expecting their first child together this Spring.
Joe and Heather suffered a miscarriage in 2008 and have been vocal about their difficulty trying to conceive.
Heather stated, “After trying to have a baby for so long, we are thrilled to announce that I am pregnant.”
Joe adds, “I have to give all the credit to my wife – she has been a trooper through all of this, and I am so happy.”
The couple married in 2007, but had known each other for twelve years.
Nichols is already dad to a daughter Ashelyn, 13, from a previous relationship.
Joe told The Boot, “I’ve got a lot of wisdom — from my own pain, from my own trials and from my own success — that I can offer a child,” Joe tells The Boot. “I’ve got a lot of love to give, too. I can’t wait to be a dad again.”
