Tonight was “Movie Music” theme night on “Dancing with the Stars,” but that isn’t the big topic of the evening…it’s the fact that Cher was in the audience in support of her “son” Chaz Bono.

The singer tweeted last week that she was coming to root for Chaz if he made it through another elimination and stayed true to her word!

Chaz and his dance partner Lacey Schwimmer performed a paso doble to the “Rocky” theme.

Cher jumped up to her feet as she fought back tears watching Chaz run up the ballroom’s staircase to a standing ovation from the audience.

The Advocate revealed of Cher, “Bono reveals his mother texted him just before last Monday’s show, saying, ‘I wanted people to be able to feel your presence and not take away from that and I think you’ve made your presence known now.”

As for the other dancers, we have a run-down of their performances.

Ricki Lake and Derek Hough performed a tango set to music from “Psycho.” They received a score of 29.

Chynna Philips (who was very excited to have Cher in the audience) had a rough time of it as she forgot the steps to her tango with Tony Dovolani to the theme of “Mission Impossible”. They lucked out to received a score of 21.
