Annette Bening and Warren Beatty’s marriage is rumored to be on the rocks, but Bening’s rep is dismissing the reports of a split. Read more on Bening and Beatty below.
Hollywood couple Annette Bening and Warren Beatty have faced split rumors for weeks after Beatty’s odd absense from his wife’s promotional tour for her latest flick “The Kids Are All Right.”
The National Enquirer suggested the couple is divided over arguments about their 18 year-old daughter’s plans to undergo gender reassignment surgery.
Kathlyn, the oldest of their four children, has been living as a man for two years under the name Stephen Ira, and is now in college awaiting a sex-change operations. Bening has reportedly agreed to pay for the surgery.
“Annette accepts that Kathlyn wants to surgically become a man, while Warren is still trying to come to terms with it,” a source reveals.
Bening’s own rep actually fueled the split rumors at the film festival in France after banning reporters from asking any questions about her family. And absolutely forbade any questions about husband Warren Beatty.
A reporter tells the New York Post, “The blackout immediately amped up speculation by the press corps of an impending split.”
But Bening’s publicist, Simon Halls, dismissed the separation rumors as “ridiculous” and adds, “She was there to promote two films and that’s what she did.”
Bening and Beatty have been married since 1992.
It looks like we will have to play the waiting game to find out if the split rumor is true or not.
