Dennis Hopper was in many memorable movies including “Rebel Without a Cause”, “Easy Rider”, “Hoosiers”, and “Speed”, and “Apocalypse Now”.
In Hopper’s later years he took on television jobs such as “24”, “Crash”, and “E-Ring”.
Dennis Hopper was married five times, including a marriage to “Mamas & Papas” singer Michelle Phillips, that lasted a week.
Dennis had four children from his marriages including Marin, 47, from marriage to first wife Brooke Hayward, Ruthanna, 35, from his marriage to third wife Daria Halprin, Henry, 19, with his fourth wife Katherine LaNasa, and Galen, 7, from his marriage to estranged fifth wife, Victoria Duffy.
Hopper’s most recent marriage ended when he filed for divorce in January, with Victoria claiming he was trying to cut her out of her inheritance. In legal documents, Victoria spoke out about medical marijuana and guns on his property where she was living with her daughter Galen.
Dennis Hopper was honored in March with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The actor appeared frail but was in good spirits.
“Everyone here today that I’ve invited “” and some who I haven’t invited “” have enriched my life tremendously,” he said during his brief speech in March. “They’ve shown me a world I never would have seen being a farm boy from Dodge City, Kansas. I just want to thank you. That’s all I can do. This means so much to me. Thank you so much to everyone.”
