Betty Nguyen Leaving CNN To Join CBS News
News anchor Betty Nguyen is leaving CNN to join CBS News to co-anchor “CBS Morning News” and will also report for “The Early Show”. Read more on Betty Nguyen below.
Betty Nguyen will begin her new job with CBS on March 11, 2010. Nguyen, 35, began her career at two CBS affiliates (KWTX and KTVT), before she joined CNN in 2004.
CBS News and Sports president Sean McManus said in a statement:
“We’re delighted that Betty is joining our talented on-air team. She has a great on-air presence and brings a tremendous amount of hard news reporting and anchoring experience to CBS News.”
Betty tweeted about her job decision this morning:
“Aww. Last morning on the show. I’m really going to miss CNN. My friends & colleagues here are truly top notch.”
