Seal To Adopt Heidi Samuel (Klum) Daughter Leni (Photos)

Victoria’s Secret model Heidi Samuel, who is better known as Heidi Klum, and husband Seal want to make their family official by having singer Seal adopt his step-daughter Leni. Read more on this story below.

Seal is planning to adopt Heidi’s 5 year-old daughter Leni sometime before Christmas. Seal and Heidi began dating when Heidi was pregnant with Leni. Leni’s biological father is Formula One’s Flavio Briatore, 59.

Flavio Briatore is currently expecting a child with his wife, 29, but has never been a part of Leni’s life. Seal has been there for her birth and her father ever since.

After Heidi and Seal had their first child together, son Henry, Seal made it clear he considers Leni to be his own child, saying, “Leni is my first child. Just like Henry I saw her take shape and move in Heidi’s body. And I was present at her birth, too. Leni is my daughter and Henry is my son. I am happy to have two healthy children and that Henry will soon be saying papa to me just like Leni does already.”

Heidi’s father recently confirmed reports that the adoption is in the works: “Heidi, Seal and the kids have always been a happy family – in everyday life and in their hearts,” he said. “Then they should also be happy on paper.”

Heidi and Seal are parents also to Henry, 4, Johan, 3, and their six-week-old daughter Lou.

Heidi Klum recently took on her husband’s last name of Samuel legally.
