Christopher Craft (Photo) Arrested After Hostage Situation At Pine Plains High School

Christopher Craft, 42, the gunman that took principal Bob Hess hostage with a rifle is now in custody. Read more on the Stissing Mountain High School incident below.
Police say Christopher Craft, a former student and Pine Plains resident, took the school Principal Bob Hess hostage with a rifle.
Thankfully there were no injuries reported in the incident and all students are safe.
Gov. David Paterson, in a written statement, said:
“At this hour it appears the hostage situation at Pine Plains High School in Dutchess County has ended. I want to commend state and local police for their efforts in resolving this situation with professionalism and no injuries. We will continue to monitor the situation closely, but I speak for all New Yorkers when offering my sincere gratitude to our fine public safety officials who have once again served New York State well.”
Sources say Craft, 42, has a son in the military and is distraught with the government.
Pine Plains is about 90 miles north of New York City.
