Joe Perry: Steven Tyler Has Quit Aerosmith!

Several sources are stating that Steven Tyler has quit the rock band Aerosmith!  Read more on what Joe Perry had to say below.

Steven Tyler has had quite a few nasty injuries this past year which included a broken shoulder after a fall off stage.  Guitarist Joe  Perry said he didn’t speak with Tyler for an entire month after that accident.

Joe Perry told reporters that Tyler has “quit as far as I can tell.”

He continues: “I don’t know any more than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don’t know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don’t know.”

What the hell?

Joe Perry went on to explain that Steven Tyler has been avoiding phone calls from the members of Aerosmith for months now, but Joe has “learned to live with it.”

“Frankly, the last few months I’ve been wanting not to rock the boat. I don’t want him canceling any more gigs,” tells Joe. “We just kind of didn’t want to call him out or anything and get him anymore pissed off, for whatever reason. So we just let things lie.”

Perry says Aerosmith has all plans to continue without Tyler and are looking for a new singer, not to replace Steven, rather to “move the Aerosmith… vibe up a notch.”
