Sir Elton John Cancels More Shows As He Battles Serious E. Coli Infection

Sir Elton John has been forced to cancel three shows after being diagnosed with an E Coli Infection. Read more on Sir Elton John’s health below.

The singer has been forced to pull out of several shows in the U.S. after being diagnosed with a “serious case” of E. coli.

Sir Elton John had already had to cancel concerts in the U.K. and Ireland in October due to having the flu. But the singer’s condition has gotten worse and he learned he has an E. Coli bacterial infection too.

Elton John is being treated at a hospital in London, and had to bail out of the performances he had planned with Billy Joel later in November.

A statement the singer’s website says, “Promoter Live Nation, The KeyArena and The Rose Garden were informed by management that Elton has been advised by his doctor to postpone these performances due to a serious case of E. coli bacterial infection and influenza.”

The shows in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon will be rescheduled and promoters have advised fans to hold onto their tickets as they attempt to reschedule the canceled shows.
