Drummer Chuck Biscuits, who played with bands including Black Flag, Danzig and Social Distortion has died of throat cancer at age 44. Read more on Chuck Biscuits’ death below.
The hard-core Canadian drummer, Chuck Biscuits, whose real name is Charles Montgomery, died on Saturday at the age of 44.
Chuck Biscuits was a member of the band Black Flag for five months in 1982, then later played with Danzig at the invitation of producer Rick Rubin.
Chuck then played with Social Distortion before quitting in 1999.

Legendary punk rock drummer Chuck Biscuits died Saturday, Oct. 24, after a battle with throat cancer. Biscuits, who got his start with Vancouver’s D.O.A. in 1978 at the age of 13 and played with Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Danzig and Social Distortion, was 44 years old.
“In response to the inquiries, thank you for all the support,” an anonymous family member wrote in an e-mail sent to fans early Wednesday. “Chuck did not survive his battle with throat cancer. He passed surrounded by his family on 10/24/09.”
