Man Pleads Guilty To DWI Charge While On Motorized La-Z-Boy Recliner (Photos)

Dennis Anderson was arrested last year for DWI while driving a motorized La-Z-Boy recliner and pleaded guilty this week to the charge. Read more and see more photos of the motorized la-Z-Boy chair below.

Dennis Anderson, 62, was arrested after driving his chair into a parked car last year. Anderson’s blood alcohol level was .29, more than three times the legal limit.

TMZ reports that Dennis Anderson said he was trying to pop a wheelie and the chick riding on the back of the La-Z-Boy chair threw his balance off!

The extra weight must have thrown off Dennis balance, and the fact he was wasted didn’t help either. Anderson’s passenger was thrown from the chair and he slammed into a parked car… which led to his arrest.

Anderson’s customized vehicle is powered by an eight horsepower Kohler lawnmower engine, and has a stereo, headlights, cup holder, and even a “Hell Yeah It’s Fast” bumper sticker.

Dennis Anderson was sentenced to 180 days in jail and ordered to pay a $2000 fine. A judge stayed Anderson’s jail term in lieu of his successful completion of a two-year supervised probation term. His La-Z-Boy, which Proctor cops seized shortly after Anderson’s arrest, will soon be auctioned along with all the other guys’ things that have been confiscated.
