David Cook’s Ex Cougar Girlfriend Kimberly Johnston Speaks Out

David Cook ended his relationship with an older woman named Kimberly Johnston when he felt it might affect his career. Read more on what model Kimberly Johnston had to say about Cook below.
Kimberly Johnston is nine-years-older than singer David Cook and he freaked out after losing fans over his secret relationship with the model.
Johnston says she received a text message from the American Idol winner star saying, “Dude, I’m losing fans over this!”
“David changed my life in so many good ways,” Kim, 35, told Star magazine in her interview. “But I also can’t forget my feeling of abandonment, when I was being slammed left and right. I’ve never had a man treat me as if he was ashamed to be associated with me!”
Kimberly Johnston and David, 26, became friends through MySpace in August 2008. They later met at David’s hotel in New York City and Kim stayed overnight. “People will draw their own conclusions, so let them,” she tells Star. The couple grew close over a year’s time and saw each other as often as their busy schedules would allow.
But their romance became public this past August after a New York newspaper ran the story. Shortly after, says Kim, “There was a big change in David’s attitude!” And it wasn’t long before he dumped Kim.
“I know David is a good person,” says Kim. “I hope he gets to the point where pleasing his fans doesn’t affect his happiness!”
Is it just us or does Kimberly Johnston look very similar to Lindsay Lohan?
