Michael David Barrett Arrested For Erin Andrews’ Peephole Video

Michael David Barrett, 48, has been arrested for secretly filming ESPN reporter, Erin Andrews, as she undressed in her hotel room. The FBI says Barrett shopped the “Erin Andrews Peephole Video” around and posted the videos online. Read more on Barrett’s arrest below.

The FBI states that Michael David Barrett had eight ‘Erin Andrews Peephole Videos’ and had posted seven of the videos online. Barrett had apparently called around at hotels to find out which one Erin Andrews was staying at. So now Barrett is being charged on federal stalking charges. He was arrested on Friday at O’Hare International Airport, located in New York.

The arrest came about after Barrett tried to sell the Erin Andrews peephole videos to TMZ. TMZ refused and contacted Andrews’ attorney.

A statement released by Erin Andrews regarding the arrest of Michael David Barrett reads:

For my part, I will make every effort to strengthen the laws on a state and federal level to better protect victims of criminal stalking.
