Fans of Slipknot had already arrived for the band’s KISW Pain in The Grass show in Seattle on Saturday, when frontman Corey Taylor announced to the crowd that she show had to be canceled.
Slipknot’s show at the Kennewick Toyota Center was also called off.
“There’s a severe medical emergency,” Taylor said in Seattle. “He’s (Jordison) OK though. He sends his love to everyone here, and wants you to know he wishes he could be here.”
Slipknot does plan to come back to make up for the canceled shows.
“Hold on to your ticket stubs, because we are coming fucking back to do this,” Taylor said. “We will be back in a couple of months to make this up. I want you all to send as much love as you can to Joey Jordison.”
Jordison had hoped to recover for the Kennewick gig, a message on the band’s official website, Slipknot1.com, explained, but the decision was made to pull the show after pre-gig set-up had already begun, reports Tri-cityherald.com.
