Levi Johnston’s Mother Sherry Johnston Pleads Guilty To Drug Charge

Levi Johnston’s mother, Sherry Johnston, has pleaded guilty to a drug charge stemming from her arrest in December. Read more on this story below.

Sherry Johnston, grandmother to Bristol Palin and her son Levi Johnston’s son Tripp, entered  a guilty plea to one count of possession with intent to deliver the prescription painkiller OxyContin.

Sherry, 43, is scheduled to be sentenced sometime in November.  According to the ADN, her plea deal allowed her to get about half the minimum sentence because she had no previous drug-related convictions and was caught with a small amount of the drug. Johnston’s  probation will continue for three years after her release from prison, her attorney told the paper.

Sherry Johnston said that she became addicted to OcyContin when a doctor prescribed it as a painkiller after a hysterectomy.

“I was in pain, and I’m still in pain,” she said at the time. “I have been trying for years to deal with the pain.”
