Jennifer Hudson Gives Birth To Son!

Actress and singer Jennifer Hudson has given birth to a son! Read more on Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga’s baby boy below!

Hudson, 27, gave birth to her first child named David Daniel Otunga, Jr. on Monday. The baby boy weighed 7 lbs and 14 ounces.  He is named after Jennifer’s fiance, David Otunga.

“The baby is beautiful and perfect,” says Hudson’s publicist Lisa Kasteler. “His parents are ecstatic.”

Hudson,the  Grammy award-winning singer, had not even confirmed her pregnancy before announcing his birth.

Jennifer Hudson was hit by tragedy last year when her mother, brother and nephew were murdered in Chicago by her sister’s estranged husband.

Hudson, who gained fame first as a top contender on “American Idol,” won an Academy Award for best supporting actress for her portrayal of Effie in “Dreamgirls” in 2007. Earlier this year, she won a Grammy for best R&B album for her self-titled debut CD.
