“Top Chef” Tom Colicchio & Wife Lori Silverbush Expecting!! (Photos)

Tom Colicchio was extremely thrilled to hear his TV show Top Chef received two Emmy nominations Thursday morning. But Colicchio’s big news is that he and his wife, Lori Silverbush,are expecting a baby! Read more below.

On his Emmy noms, Colicchio said, “It feels great!” but that he is a bit preoccupied with thoughts of having a baby.

“We’re having a boy,” he told People magazine, adding that the baby is due in early August. “That’s [my] real news!”

Colicchio has a 16-year-old son from a previous relationship, and said he and his writer/director wife, Lori Silverbush, are very prepared for the baby and have already picked out a nae.

“We’re keeping it under wraps,” he demurs. “Our parents don’t know the name yet.”

Colicchio said his mother was very excited to learn of the upcoming baby. .

“This is her seventh [grandchild]!” he says. “In fact, that’s how we broke it to her. We gave her a little onesie with the number seven on the back of it. She opened it up and she’s like, ‘What?!’ “
