The former truck driver who went on a killing spree in many states has been executed by lethal injection in Ohio. Read more on serial killer John Fautenberry below.

John Futenberry, 45, of Oregon was pronounced dead at 10:37 Tuesday morning at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville.

Fautenberry was sentenced to death for the killing of Joseph Daron Jr., who he picked up hitchhiking on Feb. 17, 1991.

John Fautenberry also confessed to killing four people in three other states including Alaska, Oregon and New Jersey during a period of 5 months in 1990 and early 1991.
