“The Wire’s” Jamie Hector’s Wife’s Baby Shower Gun Battle? (Photos)

Jamie Hector’s wife’s baby shower was interrupted by a deadly gun battle, which killed one teenager and wounded two men. Read more on this story below.
The actor of “The Wire”, HBO’s crime series, had a baby shower party in Brooklyn that ended in one dead and two people wounded.
The gunmen were said to have unloaded nearly 50 bullets outside the party for the wife of actor Jamie Hector, and then tried to finish off one of the wounded men outside a hospital.
“What a gun battle,” a police source told the Daily News. “They have been watching too much TV.”
Police discovered 46 shell casings littering half the block beginning at Avenue B, near the baby shower.
Two guns were recovered, but no suspects were arrested after the violence that spilled out from the party.
Linton Williams, 17, of Brooklyn, died at the scene.
Party-goers helped injured 32-year-old Andrew Filson into a car and rushed him to Downstate Medical Center.
As Filson left the car at the hospital, another vehicle rolled up and someone inside started firing.
Police sources said Filson was hit at least once at the hospital.
Filson was rushed by ambulance to Kings County Hospital, a trauma center where he was listed in critical condition yesterday.
Walter Parker, 22, was shot in the leg outside the party. He flagged down an ambulance and was taken to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was in stable condition.
Police are not certain why the gunmen targeted it’s victims.
Jamie’s manager Ally Roberson released this statement from Jamie Hector about the incident…
“I first want to make it clear that the shooting incident yesterday did not take place at my home, nor did it involve me, my wife, nor any of the invited guests. Although none of the guests were hurt physically, the trauma of this experience is unforgettable. My condolences go out to the families of the victims.
I grew up in Brooklyn and this kind of violence is one of the reasons I founded Moving Mountains, Inc., a non-profit youth organization that redirects talented youth through the arts. I focus their energy on positive alternatives in an effort to deter them from this type of violence, which takes place on the streets everyday. We work to provide them with the life skills that allow them to make good choices for themselves and prepare them to lead positive, violence free lives.”
Jamie also adds, ”to be honest it was a disturbing feeling, but it also showed that we have a lot of work to do, we have to change how people think in order to change what they do”

Jamie Hector has nothing to do with this bullshit! This is not the time to assassinate him for the sake of making news. Come on people don’t allow the media to play on our intelligence, we are smarter than that, and we know the difference between real life and T.V. (Tell-lies-through-vision).

Who cares if he had nothing to do with this SOMEONE DIED.. WAKE UP PEOPLE this is too much violence period. These animals are STILL OUT THERE AND PROBABLY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT JAMIE HECTOR.Only BLACK PEOPLE do this crazy bull s#$*….go around killing each other before they take a book up and read to their children , oh I forgot they prob dont know how to read but they know how to pick up a gun and shoot.

To Jullie Bee, Though I do agree with you that SOMEONE DIIED, I think yor mssing the point of these particular comments, just the topic of this piece alone “Stupid Celebrities” is no place for a well respected actor to want to find himself featured. Especially a conscious young actor such as Jamie Hector who has been working hard against this type of violence for years. To discredit hm in this way limits his ability to effectively continue to make a difference. To make the comment that only “Black People do this crazy bull” is not only literally wrong, it is also morally wrong for you to perpetuate this image of Black people! I understand your disgust with the incident but before you dismiss Jamie with a who cares abot him, realize and acknowledge that he cares and has been doing something about it, do you? What are you doing about it? On another note I applaud SCG, this site for telling both sides of the story and letting the public judge for themselves, apparantly you didn’t read the entire story.
