Sarah Palin Resigns As Governor Of Alaska! (Photos)
Posted on July 3, 2009
Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska, announced Friday that she will step down by the end of the month, and resign from being governor. So what could this all mean? Read more on Sarah Palin’s resignation below.
Sarah Palin’s resignation will certainly fuel speculation that she could be seriously considering seeking the Republican nomination for president in 2012.
Palin was Senator John McCain’s vice presidential running mate this past year and had quite a nice following. Sarah Palin made the announcement during her news conference from her home in Wasilla, Alaska with her family member’s present.
“We know we can effect positive change outside of government,” she said in making the announcement.
Sarah Palin used point guard analogy (from her years playing basketball) in explaining her decision to resign, saying she knows “exactly when to pass the ball so the team can win.”
Sarah will pass on the reins to Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell, who will be sworn in at the governor’s picnic in Fairbanks this month.
“This decision came after much consideration,” Ms. Palin told reporters and said, “I really don’t want to disappoint anyone with this announcement.”
Many people have wondered if Sarah Palin would seek to be the Republican Party’s presidential candidate in 2012. Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, who is also considered to be a leading Republican candidate for president in 2012, announced last month that he would not seek re-election.
Without her responsibilities of being Governor, she would be able to travel and build up voter’s interest early on.. if that is what Palin is planning.
“Some are going to question the timing of this, and let me say this decision has been in the works for quite a while,” she said.
What do you think of Palin’s resigning from her duties as Governor of Alaska? And do you expect her to run for President in 2012?

More information on “grassroots” supporters gathering across the nation to support Sarah Palin for President in 2012 can be found online at http://www.palin4pres2012.com
Note, the website is in danger of crashing due to the flood of readers and supporters signing up to show their interest in a Palin Candidacy. The GOP establishment had better watch out, Sarah Palin and Ron Paul combined with the power of the internet will remove the stranglehold of GOP special interests and the elites who have brought the party to its knees in defeat in the 2008 elections.

Im glad she is stepping down. She has put the state into its first deficit. Not to mention her record on the environment is just awful. Maybe now she can spend some time raising her special needs son who needs her, and spend less time pretending that she knows how to run a state, or god forbid a country.
