Former “Bachelor” & “DWTS” Contestant Melissa Rycroft Engaged To Tye Strickland (Photos)

Melissa Rycroft announced on “Good Morning America” that she is engaged to boyfriend, Tye Strickland. Read more on Melissa Rycroft’s engagement below.

Hopefully Rycroft’s engagement this time will result in marriage. If you remember, Rycroft was dumped in front of the whole world by “Bachelor” Jason Mesnick.

“Sometimes the stars align and the clouds part and everything works out the way it should,” Rycroft said on the morning show program.

Rycroft and Strickland celebrated their engagement with their parents at the Manhattan restaurant Brio, then went on to party with their friends that night.

Rycroft has dated Tye Strickland since her engagement to Jason Mesnick.

“We’ve been really good friends but the timing was never right,” she told US magazine at the time. “With all this going on, he’s my support system. It’s funny how things happen.”

Rycroft, the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader was a finalist on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’and has just started work on ‘Good Morning America.’ She will appear on the show throughout the summer.

The couple waited to announce their engagement due to other breaking national news this past weekend.

“Sorry we kept it a secret for a few days,” Rycroft wrote on her Facebook page. “We kind of thought there were more important things going on throughout the weekend, and it would be rude to make our announcement during all that.”
