Rocker EDDIE VAN HALEN has married his fiancee JANIE LISZEWSKI in a lavish ceremony in California on Saturday night (27Jun09).
The couple, who has been dating for three years, tied the knot in the backyard of Van Halen’s estate in the hills above Studio City, California in front of 100 guests.
The guitarist’s 18-year-old son, Wolfgang, served as best man, while brother Alex Van Halen, an ordained minister, officiated at the service, according to People.com.
The evening ceremony, which was attended by the 54-year-old star’s ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli, included a fully non-alcoholic bar – to celebrate Van Halen’s year and a half of sobriety since kicking his drink problems.
Van Halen and Bertinelli divorced in 2006 after 25 years of marriage. It is the first wedding for Liszewski, 39. (LR/WNWCPL/ZN)
