Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have ended their relationship after dating for three years. Read more on the reasons behind Nick and Vanessa’s split below.

Minnillo’s rep confirms that Nick and Vanessa have called it quits!

“They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another,” Minnillo’s rep tells People Magazine.

The couple began dating in 2006 but have been followed in recent months with a rash of breakup rumors, which were shot down.

Back in May, Star magazine reported that Nick was hitting on a Jessica Simpson look-alike at a Kentucky Derby party, which so happened to be the night after he kissed another chick at a club.

“He was making it clear he was into her,” an eyewitness said about Nick and Southern Belles star Emily Gimmel, who exchanged numbers. “She was obviously interested too.”

A source says Minnillo, 28, and Lachey, 35, are “still friends. It was the right thing for both of them to do.”
