The surrogate mother carrying Sarah and Matthew’s baby girls gave birth on Tuesday, Barbara Walters announced on “The View” on Tuesday morning.
Parker and Broderick are currently at the East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry with the surrogate mother and babies.
Their rep states:
“Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are delighted to announce the healthy arrival of their two daughters at 3:58 pm on June 22 in Ohio. Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces and Tabitha Hodge Broderick weighed 6 pounds. Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Parker’s side. The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon.”
The couple announced back in April that they were using a surrogate to expand their family.
“Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate,” a rep for the couple told Access at the time. “The entire family is overjoyed.”
The twin girls are the second and third children for Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, who have been married since 1997. They have a 6-year-old son named James Wilkie Broderick.
Congrats to Sarah Jessica Parker and Mathhew Broderick on their twin girls!!
