Twilight Actor Robert Pattinson Hit By Taxi In New York

Actor Robert Pattinson had an incident with a taxi on the streets outside the Strand bookstore downtown in New York on Thursday. Read more about Robert Pattinson’s scary run-in below.

The actor was in Manhattan filming a movie called “Remember Me” and was attempting to cross the street to escape a huge hoard of fans when he was clipped on his hip by a moving cab. The driver immediately slammed on his brakes when he realized what had happened.

Pattinson, 23, thankfully wasn’t hurt too badly and was able to walk away from the accident.

Sources from the movie set say that Pattinson regularly attracts mobs of fans where they are filming. “It’s been nonstop busy all day with people trying to get a glimpse of him, and the crowd goes nuts when they do see him,” a set source told People magazine.

The actor has had to hire his own security in addition to the bodyguards provided by Summit Entertainment, according to the source.

“I think he appreciates it. He’s not one to make a big deal about it. He’s a chill guy and quiet so far,” the source says. “I think he finds it a little weird that people are standing outside all day to get a glimpse of him, but grateful.”

That’s great the sexy actor didn’t get seriously injured during the taxi incident.
