American Idol’s sexy runner-up Adam Lambert opens up in the next Rolling Stone about his sexuality, which isn’t a huge surprise to most of us!  Read more on Lambert’s Rolling Stone interview below.

Adam Lambert officially “comes out” in the Rolling Stone interview, but knows most of his fans already know he is gay. No surprise here!

“I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” Lambert says in the latest issue of Rolling Stone, hitting newsstands this week.

Adam Lambert tells all, even about his childhood, drug use, and of course his sexuality.

Lambert told Rolling Stone about his time on American Idol: ”I was like, ‘I’m going to glue rhinestones on my eyelids, bitch!’

And on his decision to officially “come out”, Lambert had this to say:

“Right after the finale, I almost started talking about it to the reporters, but I thought, ‘I’m going to wait for Rolling Stone, that will be cooler,’ ” he stated. “I didn’t want the Clay Aiken thing and the celebrity-magazine bullshit. I need to be able to explain myself in context.  I’m proud of my sexuality,” Lambert adds. “I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.”
