While mystery still surrounds the death of actor David Carradine, a Thai newspaper has published a photo of Carradine hanging and nude, and his family has requested the FBI get involved in the investigation of Carradine’s death. Even more interesting… Carradine’s ex-wives talk about his deviant sexual practices.  Read more below.

David Carradine’s family are reportedly ‘profoundly disturbed’ by the publication of the crime scene in the death of actor David Carradine.

The photo shows Carradine with both hands tied at the wrist and suspended above the head was published in the Thai Rath paper.

Thai police believe the photo was taken by a member of the forensic team and leaked to the newspaper.

Keith Carradine, the actor’s half brother, said in a statement that the family were ‘profoundly disturbed by the release in Thailand of photographs taken at the scene of David Carradine’s death,’ and threatened legal action against further distribution.

David Carradine’s death still remains a mystery. It was first believed to be a suicide, but as details emerged (and the crime scene photo) it is obvious his death was not a suicide.

Carradine’s wife, Annie Bierman, has asked for an independent post mortem examination and has questioned the Thai investigation.

But Thai authorities state that Carradine was alone in his hotel room and that they have CCTV footage which did not show anyone entering or leaving his room.

Police spokesman Colonel Somprasong Yenthaum said U.S. embassy officials were present during the crime scene investigation.

‘I am confident we are working on the right track. U.S. embassy representatives saw every step of the investigation process in the hotel room,’ he said.

He said Carradine’s relatives had the right to seek help from the FBI, but added that the bureau would have to contact Thailand’s attorney general, who would then decide whether to forward the request to the police.

‘We can work with FBI if they request and their request is passed. But if they don’t come, we can do our jobs,’ he added.

FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said the agency generally only gets involved in  death investigations overseas if a crime is suspected.

Pornthip Rojanasunand, director of Thailand’s Central Institute of Forensic Science, said the circumstances under which Carradine died suggest that he may have been performing auto-erotic asphyxiation.

This practice involves temporarily cutting off the supply of oxygen to the brain to heighten the effects of a sexual stimulation.

The lead singer of the Australian band INXS, Michael Hutchence, was found dead in 1997 in a similar situation. The singer was believed to be experimenting sexually and was not considered a suicide.

David Carradine’s former wives did say he liked to tie himself up, and many worried he might one day die from his sexual practices.

Carradine’s former wives say he regularly tied himself up for sexual kicks, ignoring warnings he might one day kill himself.

Carradine’s fourth wife, Marina Anderson, filed for divorce in 2003, and cited his deadly ‘abhorrent and deviant sexual behavior as the reason for the breakdown of the marriage. Hmm.. interesting huh?

Another of his former wives, Gail Jensen, that was married to David for ten years stated that the actor had a thing for bondage.

What do you guys think? Do you think Carradine was murdered or that the actor was into kinky sex that went way wrong?

Self bondage can indeed be a dangerous practice and this just serves as a definitive reminder of that fact. It’s a lot better to work with a partner whom one trusts.
