Sean Penn wants to stay with his longtime wife, Robin Wright Penn, after all.
“It was an arrogant mistake,” Penn told the Daily News.
But this isn’t the first time the couple has considered divorce. The couple filed for divorce in December of 2007, only to pull the petition several months later.
This time, Sean Penn had requested joint physical and legal custody of their children, daughter Dylan, 18 and son, Hopper, 15. He even asked the judge to deny his wife spousal support.
Friends say Sean Penn probably filed in the heat of an argument.
“They love each other like crazy but they fight like crazy,” said a pal.
“They may have gotten into a fight where she said she wanted a divorce and he filed just to beat her to the punch, even though he doesn’t want a divorce.
“That doesn’t mean they’re suddenly happy and in love. It’s anyone’s guess where this is going.”
Sean Penn could make quite a bit of money on his latest project, “The Three Stooges” with Jim Carrey and Benicio del Toro.
So do you think Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn will stay together or finally divorce?
