Kris Allen won American Idol on the finale, which shocked many who thought Adam Lambert was the likely winner. Read more on Kris Allen and his reaction to winning AI below.
After votes were counted and the results announced, Kris Allen was shocked.”Are you serious?” he asked host Ryan Seacrest. “Are you friggin’ serious?”
When asked how he felt about winning Kris said, “It feels good, but Adam deserves this.”
Kris brought the show to a close singing “No Boundaries” while being showered in confetti.
Many seemed shocked at Kris Allen’s win over Adam Lambert, with even the judges seeming to prepare Kris for a loss before the announcements.

yes, i do feel adam lambert should have been won over kris allen. its just maybe about gender issue.

I’m overjoyed that Kris won. As a matter of fact, Kris has more talent than Adam. He can play the piano and guitar. Can you imagine one whole album of Adam Lambert with all his screaming? Guess not. But Adam was a good sport.

and these judges have their own sweet biases… taking a good example … Kara’s comment after Kris Allen sang no boundaries..with those flat notes…. that he shouldn’t be judged for just one song….well it has always been like that they are judging contestant for just one song…. lol…

I’m glad it’s Kris Allen. Can’t imagine listening to a whole CD of Adam’s screeching and screaming. UUGGHH! Kris is a dream, he sings with his heart…good music for the soul.

This was the shame of the idol show. this boy (kris)was weak and could hardley get through a song. There was some cheating that was brought out. still his family and friends continue to attack adam.who was our choice. wasn’t your mass texting /free phone / cheating courses enough.
shut up and deal with the fact that the nation knows what u did. we do not like it one bit.
Adam is who we want and you can post gay photos all you want. Fraud is a way bigger sin.

i saw the 10 commanments today.I bought it over the internet. Adam was better than good. He was a stand out star. Evereything an idol should be. It wasn’t a talent contest/ it was a mass text bought contest.

My church would have ask me if i lost my mind to think they would take part in cheating a man to promote your own.shame on u that took part.
