Fans of “My Name is Earl” will be sad to hear NBC has canceled the funny series. But sources are saying Fox and ABC are talking about picking up the comedy show. Let’s hope so!
ABC has picked up rival shows in the past such as taking “Scrubs” after NBC canceled the series last year and committing to take on “The New Adventures of Old Christine” if CBS decides to cancel it.
“My Name is Earl” has been on for four season, and thriller “Medium” for five. “Earl” has averaged 4.5 million viewers and a 1.7 adult demo rating this season, “Medium” had 7.2 million viewers and a 2.2 rating.
Ethan Suplee, who plays Randy, posted the cancelation news on Twitter: “Just got the call that My Name Is Earl has been canceled. They sure did take their time with that decision or rather informing us of it.”
