Los Angeles Sparks Star Candace Parker Gives Birth To Baby Girl

This is the first child for Candace Parker and Shelden Williams.

Goodwin Sports Management said the baby girl was born in Los Angeles on Wednesday. She weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 inches long.

“Shelden and I are thrilled,”  Candace Parker said. “This is such a life changing moment for us, we feel blessed to have a healthy and beautiful baby girl.”

Candace Parker averaged 18.5 points and 9.5 rebounds last season, and plans to rejoin the Sparks once she gets approval from her doctor.
