Former NBA Player Jayson Williams Hospitalized For Psychological Evaluation (Photos)

Ex New Jersey Nets’ basketball star Jayson Williams is under psychological evaluation in the hospital after police found him acting “violent” and “suicidal” in a New York hotel Monday morning. Read more on Jayson Williams going effing ballistic below.

The New York post reports that police had to forcibly remove Jayson Williams from his Manhattan hotel room at around 4 AM after he went nuts and and barricaded himself inside. Williams reportedly trashed the hotel room.

Cops had to taser Jayson Williams and then took him to St. Vincent’s Hospital for a psychological evaluation.

You might remember Jayson Williams was acquitted of aggravated manslaughter after the 2002 accidental shooting death of his limo driver, 55-year-old Costas “Gus” Christofi. Now Jayson Williams currently faces a retrial for reckless manslaughter.

TMZ reports that the original 911 call was made by a female friend who stated that prescription drugs or alcohol were a factor in Jayson Williams behavior this morning.
