Jay Leno Hospitalized After Falling Ill (Photos)

Talk show host Jay Leno was feeling ill and checked himself into a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday. Read more on Jay Leno below.

NBC had to cancel Thursday’s taping of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” after Jay Leno was feeling sick.

But Leno’s rep would not disclose the nature of Leno’s illness. Leno will be 59 years-old on Tuesday.

Actor Ryan Reynolds, animal trainer Jules Sylvester and swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy had been booked for Thursday’s show.

According to sources, Jay Leno went to work this morning but was not feeling well, so a staff member took him across the street to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center.

NBC will air repeats of “The Tonight Show” today and Friday, and Leno hopes to return to work Monday, according to an NBC publicist.

“Jay Leno is doing just fine. He was kidding around with the hospital staff and running his monologue jokes by the doctors and the nurses,” NBC said in a statement.
