Chris Brown Enters “Not Guilty” Plea In Rihanna Beating Case

Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty to threatening and assaulting his girlfriend, singer Rihanna. Read more about Chris Brown’s court appearance today below.
Chris Brown, 19, appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Monday with his attorney, Mark Geragos.
Brown entered his plea in a soft voice while his mother sat in the first row, teary-eyed.
Chris Brown was charged in March by Los Angeles County prosecutors with felony assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats. Brown was arrested nearly a month earlier after his altercation with Rihanna. Court records list Brown’s victim as Robyn Fenty (Rihanna’s real name).
Rihanna, 21, is being represented by attorney Donald Etra.
If Chris Brown is convicted he could be sentenced to probation or nearly five years in prison.
Chris Brown has experienced the backlash after the incident. Sponsors have stopped using Brown, a few radio stations have stopped playing his music with some even playing an anti-Chris Brown song created by the Smoke Jumpers.
