Jennifer Hepner, 23, was pulled over January 3, 2009 and refused to take the alcohol screening, blood test or breathalyzer. The Montana graduated student had her driver’s license suspended.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle just reported Wednesday that Miss Montana has pleaded not guilty. Hepner is also fighting the license suspension.
Hepner’s lawyer says her requests to speak with an attorney during the traffic stop were denied.
Jennifer Hepner was allowed to participate in the Miss America pageant Jan. 24, but her Miss Montana duties were suspended Feb. 16. But the Miss America Organization says Hepner will retain her crown until the next Miss Montana is crowned June 20.
