“Soul Train” Creator Don Cornelius Gets Probation In Domestic Violence Case (Photos)

Soul Train’s Don Cornelius, 72, was received three years probation stemming from his arrest last October for misdemeanor spousal battery charges. Read more on Don Cornelius below.

Police were called to Cornelius’ Hollywood home to handle a domestic incident involving Don Cornelius’ wife Viktoria.

Cornelius was guilty on three counts; spousal battery, one of dissuading a witness from filing a police report and one count of assault with a deadly weapon. Don also has to attend a domestic violence course.

Court documents show that Cornelius’ estranged wife, Viktoria, had issues with the former producer, and was granted a three year restraining order against Don a week before he was arrested for beating her.
