Houston Rockets Forward Carl Landry Shot In Leg (Photos)

Houston Rockets player Carl Landry was shot in the leg on Tuesday and is expected be out of play for close to three weeks. Read more on Carl Landry below.
Carl Landry and a female passenger were driving southeast of downtown Houston at around 2:30 a.m. in Landry’s sport utility vehicle when it was first sideswiped then hit by another car.
Then two men got out of the car and confronted Carl Landry. One of the men fired a gun twice at Landry. He was even chased by the men until they gave up finally. The female passenger in Landry’s SUV was not hurt.
“Carl was treated and released at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center for a surface wound in his left calf and a dislocated finger on his left hand,” Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey said in a statement. “We expect him to make a full recovery and return in one to three weeks,” he added.
Carl Landry is now in his second season with the Houston Rockets and played in Monday’s game where they beat the New Orleans Hornets.
