Ed McMahon Hospitalized in Los Angeles (Photos)

Ed McMahon, the sidekick to Johnny Carson on “Tonight” show, has been put in the hospital in intensive care. Read more on Ed McMahon’s condition below.

Ed McMahon, 85, has been sick from pneumonia and other health ailments and had been in the hospital for several weeks, his spokesperson Mr. Bragman stated.

“It’s serious,” Bragman said when asked about McMahon’s condition, noting his age. But, Bragman added: “We’re hopeful.”

McMahon’s wife and family are with him and appreciate the public expressions of concern, the spokesman said.

Ed McMahon has had some bad luck in recent years. In 2007 he fell and broke his neck, faced foreclosure last year after the fall left him unable to work. But thankfully they were able to work things out.

Most of us remember Ed McMahon from “Tonight” from 1962 until 1992, when he would announce”H-e-e-e-e-e-ere’s Johnny!”

And more recently you’ve seen him on the American Family Publishers’ sweepstakes commercials.
