EastEnders Actress Wendy Richard Dies Of Cancer At 65 (Photos)

Actress Wendy Richard, best known for her role as Pauline Fowler in the BBC One soap, had cancer and died with her husband John Burns by her side. Read more on Wendy Richard below.
Wendy Richard has died of breast cancer at the age of 65.
Her agent Kevin Francis paid his respects, saying: “She was incredibly brave and retained her sense of humour right to the end.”
Wendy Richard got her first big break in the BBC soap The Newcomers. Richard went on to do films and had a major role in the sitcom “Are You Being Served?” in 1972.
Then in 1985 Wendy joined the EastEnders cast.
In 2000 Wendy Richard received the MBE award for services to television. In 2007 Richard received a British Soap Award for Lifetime Achievement for her role in EastEnders.

Everyone has been touched by this terrible disease,
Its like the devil brought here to terrify and tease,
People say that you get what is coming to you, But with cancer this is simply not true,
Nobody deserves to die in this horrific way,
Its not like its even over in just one day, Weeks months or even years of suffering through till the end,
For those we have lost one more day we would like to spend,
I not only speak for me but for all who have lost someone so special,
We hate you cancer, we hate you.
